Meet Arlyne — Sometimes Consultant, Herder of Bassets, Hey, Work Mom!
After years of building a fantastic career as a business advisor, strategist, and people leader for dozens of client engagements across a spectrum of industries, Arlyne noticed a common pattern. Time after time, she got labeled as “the work mom” by the budding superstars in her orbit. When pointed out by a friend, Arlyne realized that nurturing all of the “baby ducklings” on her teams turned out to be, in fact, far more fun and rewarding than many of the other professional successes she had implementing global programs and solutions. And so, Hey Work, Mom! was born.
Much of her time “work mom-ing” simply boils down to being there to answer all of the questions whenever there seems to be no one’s around to ask. Career exploration, work dynamics, professional development and etiquette, relationship stuff, or just life-ing — NO JUDGEMENT. Whether it be figuring out what’s next after graduation, preparing for a new job, dealing with a sticky work situation, or maybe something in between — Arlyne believes that everyone could use a little help sometimes.
So, know this…you don’t go about it alone or worry about not knowing stuff. Hey, Work Mom! was established out of a passion for mentoring, sharing a seasoned perspective, figuring stuff out together, and above everything…always being YOUR biggest cheerleader.
